In 1975, J. Peter Vice and William R. Hunter together created the law firm of Vice & Hunter. In 2001, Marc Labrosse
became a partner in the firm, which then became known as Vice & Hunter LLP. In 2005, the firm once again evolved
and is now known as VICE HUNTER LABROSSE LLP (“VHL”).
In establishing the firm back in 1975, Peter Vice and William Hunter set out to provide their clients with a full range of
affordable legal services. Currently VHL is comprised of six lawyers practicing in various areas of law, working in
concert with each other to support the overall objectives of the firm. By using the ample experiential and technological
resources at their disposal and by customizing their team approach to better satisfy their clients' specific needs, the firm
of VHL is able to meet their objective of delivering efficient, cost-effective and highly skilled legal services to their clientele.
VHL has a strong municipal and planning law orientation, which is complimented by the firm's extensive knowledge and experience in civil litigation.
The lawyers at VHL are assisted by experienced and competent support staff who assist in reducing lawyers' time on administrative matters
thereby allowing the lawyers to utilize their time and efforts to best serve their clients. The firm's in-house library and access to the Internet
facilitate research for the completion of legal opinions and research memoranda. The firm is connected to most databases that allow for
direct access to relevant jurisprudence relating to a specific area of practice.
In working to meet the objectives of the firm, the lawyers and staff of VHL are committed to continuing legal education and the progressive
upgrading of the firm's technology. Through their community involvement and membership on various Boards and Committees, the firm
members have a public profile and have gained an insight into current social and political issues, qualities that augment VHL’s ability to
serve its clients
